Amber Beck
Amber holds a Master’s in Fine Arts in Creative Writing and Publishing from Chatham University.
She has been published in Bone Parade, Poets.org, Bindweed Magazine, Sundress Reads, Rejection Letters, and Calliope for her fiction, nonfiction and poetry. She is the recipient of the 2022 Laurie Mansell Reich Poetry Prize, placed first in NEA Big Read’s 2021 writing contest, and secured second place in the Florida Collegiate Honors Council Conference of 2019 for fiction. She has interned for the publishing company, Gaudy Boy. She helped edit the literary journals: Zephyr, 101 Words, and The Fourth River. She also started Barmecide Press and published the poetry chapbook, These hands are destruction hands. She currently lives in Japan, teaching English.
She has written one middle-grade fantasy novel (unpublished for now!) and is already working on her second novel. She asks you to keep an eye out!
